Sew Mama, Sew Giveaway Day!

629 Comments | Leave a Comment

Today is the day! If you have never taken part in Sew Mama, Sew’s Giveaway Day before, you are in for a treat. Tons of bloggers will be posting giveaways today, in the spirit of friendship and kindness. You should totally check out all the offerings, but I assume you would like to see what I am offering before you do!

Today my giveaway includes two items, the first is a pattern that can also be found in my online store (here). It is called “Slideshow” by Atkinson Designs.

I haven’t actually tried this particular pattern myself, but if the “Yellow Brick Road” pattern is any indication, her patterns are excellent! Her directions are clear, concise, and very easy to follow. This should be an enjoyable pattern to make.

The second item included in my giveaway is this fat quarter bundle from my own personal fabric stash.

This bundle is made up of 11 fat quarters from Denyse Schmidt’s new line of fabrics, “Picnic and Fairgrounds”. One lucky winner will get both the pattern and the fat quarter bundle. These fabrics are simply divine and I think this will be a great pattern to show them off.

All you have to do to enter this drawing is leave me a comment. Easy as that! To make it fun, you can tell me what your most treasured, or most wanted, non-fabric quilting tool is.

If you are new to my blog, I am the owner of a new online shop called Dewberry Lane. We specialize in all your non-fabric quilting needs. The store just opened in mid-April, and May is our official Grand Opening month! You will find that most of our prices are currently 10% below retail. That may not last forever, but our newsletter will keep you up to date on all our specials and new items in store. If you sign up for our newsletter, our subscribers are entered into a drawing for a free pattern each month.

To celebrate my new store, I am going to allow for extra entries into this giveaway as well. Just let me know that you have done (or already do) any of the following, and you will get one bonus entry per item:

1. Sign up for the Dewberry Lane newsletter (here, left-hand side)
2. Follow Dewberry Lane on Twitter (here)
3. Follow this blog (Using Google friend to the right, or any other feed reader, just let me know what you use.)

This allows each of you a total of 4 chances to win this fun prize! I am also happy to ship internationally.

I hope you enjoy all the wonderful giveaways today, I know I will be hopping around and entering as many as I can! Be sure to check out the full list here.

Contest is now closed!! I will make a new post announcing the winner very soon. Thanks everyone!!

Happy Quilting!

My most treasured quilting tool is my rotary cutter for sure. We are the best of friends, spending almost every day together. She has only nicked me once and I forgave her. After all, we are BFFs πŸ™‚

I enjoy following your blog.

Thanks for the giveaway πŸ™‚
I think my most treasured tool is my rotary cutter, too. And my most wanted is a long (at least 12,5″) proper quilting ruler (I’m using a thin metal one like the those children use at school, but at least it’s non-slippery)

And I’m your follower (through Google friend) too πŸ™‚
(And I hope I’m doing it right putting these in separate comments.)

Either way would be fine. πŸ™‚ Thanks for entering and following!!

I would love a die cutter – one that cuts fabric. I have a rotary cutter but it rusts easily. Singapore is too humid to support a rotary blade.

Thanks for the giveaway
As for non fabric tools – i really must buy a new rotary cutter. Amazing how difficult it is without one.

Wow – what a fabulous stash you must have!

The tool(s) I most want for quilting right now is more than out plastic-measuring-ruler-y thing. I’m such a newbie I don’t know what the right name is. Anyway, I have one that is 18.5″ by 6.5″ and it does a lot but I think it’d be nice to have a selection.

I love my sewing machine Naumann which originally belonged to my great-grandmother – sometimes, I admit, I long for zig zag stitches and other fancy things, but then I see my machine again and forget about it all.

I just started following you on twitter!

All these giveaways are so much fun and I’m finding so many great new blogs (I’m a new quilter!)

I’m new to quilting, and so far have been doing everything by hand, which is s-l-o-o-o-w. Working on getting that sewing machine, but I have to save for a little while πŸ™‚

THanks for the chance to win! Those fabrics are supercute. πŸ˜€

This is my first time working with Denyse’s fabrics too, they are so yummy and cozy looking! I cannot wait to make something with them.

Good luck!

It has to be my walking foot. I LOVE it. I don’t even quilt (yet) but it’s great for other things too. I’d so love to make a quilt but I’ve yet to commit to a pattern or fabrics for one – I think this could be the one! Fingers crossed for me.

Awesome giveaway! My fav tool would have to be my square ruler, at 4.5 inches. I use it ALL the time to square up blocks before sewing them into a top!

I’m your 76th follower! Thanks for the chance to win….by the way, congratulations on your shop, and how is the homeschooling coming along?

I am still researching everything, we will officially start home schooling on August 1, though we probably won’t really start with the schooling part until we return from Disney at the end of September. I am going to do some schoolish type things centered around stuff we’ll see in Disney (like learn about the different countries in Epcot etc….) in September, but we won’t get down to it till after that. My son is very excited though! Thanks so much for asking.

My most treasured tool is my rotary cutter but my seam ripper is my most used, sadly. Thanks for the giveaway, I LOVE these fabrics.

My favorite sewing tool … this is kind of silly. When I was 15 or so, “hair sticks” were really popular, fancy sticks to hold your bun in place. I sanded, stained, and oiled some regular eating chopsticks until they were just beautiful and gleaming (and not oily). Well the fad passed but now I have a beautiful poking/turning tool with some history!

Like many quilters, my #1 used quilting tool is my rotary cutter. On my wish list would be a rotating self-healing mat. Thanks for hosting this giveaway!

I signed up for your shop newsletter. I’m relatively new to quilting and I know I need to learn more about available quilt tool options, particularly how to use the specialty rulers. They seem so complicated, but I know they must be great time-savers if I can just figure out how to use them!

What a great giveaway…keeping my fingers crossed as I love Denyse Schmidt! Congrats on your new shop!!!

I really really want a big cutting table and a big cutting mat, it’ll make everything so much easier! Thanks so much for the giveaway!

My favourite tool is my large cutting mat – thank goodness for a great sale at a store near me!
A close second is the wire shelving baskes from ikea that try to keep my stash organized.

…. following you on twitter (but I don’t have an account, so I just subscribed to the twitter feed in google reader)

Love the fabric!!! My most wanted tool would be a bias tape maker!!! I have made my own a few times and LOVE the look and being able to add more color rather then just a solid!! Espcially on dresses for my daughter and quilts. ( I signed up for the newsletter and I’m now a follower!!)

Love the fabric! My non-fabric favorite tool would be my super big cutting mat and rotary cutter!

I’m just starting quilting, so am trying to create a fabric stash and source some good patterns. I love the items you have for your giveaway!

I love this fabric and the pattern is really cute too. My favorite quilting tool is my rotary cutter.

Well, I know I could never be without my seam ripper, don’t know what that says about my quilting skills!!!! Thanks for the giveaway!

I really need a new cutting mat, I just don’t want to spend the money I’d rather buy fabric!
Love love love Denyse Schmidt’s new line and it’s not easy to come by outside the US – pick me please πŸ˜‰

I’ve been wanting a rotating cutting mat – yesterday I was trimming the edges of some blocks and having to move things around so much was getting really tiresome.

My favorite go to tool – my grandmother! She is the best and has allll the secrets.

This is a seriously fabulous give away prize! I absolutely adore those Denyse Schmidt fabrics! My most favorite quilting tool would have to be my 1/4 inch piecing foot….I’d be totally lost without it!

Thanks so much for hosting such a wonderful give away, and for the opportunity to participate!

Hi! I’m new to your site and I’m glad I found you! Your quilts are amazing. This is such a great prize – thanks for the chance to win! My favorite tool is my rotary cutter & 24×36 mat. I use it for much more than quilting!

Oooh, what a great giveaway! I could really use a quilting extension table, but I’ll settle for those FQs:) Thanks!

what a pretty bundle! i’m sure it will be fantastic as a quilt. thanks for the chance to win it!

I love that Denyse Schmidt line and haven’t seen it before. Very cool. My rotary cutter is cool, but I wish the blades didn’t dull so quickly.

I would like to get my hands on one of those teenie weenie irons…not sure what they are called but something to iron into the corners!!! Thanks for sharing your stash of beautful fabric!!

I am new to quilting, and seriously just figured out that a rotary cutter works SO much easier than scissors. Wow have I been missing out!!

My tool of choice is a white hard plastic thing with a narrow, almost sharp, edge that “draws” lines on my fabric that I can then use to line up overlapping fabric or sew a seam. Since I can’t sew straight for the life of me, this little thing is very useful. No idea what you call it though, I got it as a gift.

Thanks for the giveaway!

I am so tired from all the blog hopping that I can’t think of one tool. I lost my marbles.

Right now i’m in LOVE with my new machine. Does that count as a tool? This would be fun to win! Thanks for the chance. jjjcwebb (at) hotmail (dot) com

so sweet, thanks for the chance to win!
My favorite ‘tool’ is my husband, he is so handy when it comes to math and patterns! Love him!

I absolutely love the fabric you chose and the pattern is one I’ve looked at many times, but just haven’t committed πŸ™‚ Thanks for the giveaway!

My new pack of clover pins. They are soooo thin they are a joy to use and make piecing so much easier.

love the fabric!!! not usually much of a quilter, but those would work well to make good summer tops for my girl! my *ahem* favourite tool would be my seam ripper!!! lol it comes in handy too often!

My most treasured? Probably my Gingher shears . . . super functional, cut like butter, and they were given to me by my sweet husband because I was always complaining that my scissors were no good.

My favorite tool is definitely the rotary cutter. I learned to sew back in the day when we just used scissors and the rotary cutter is sooooo much easier.

Oh, I can’t find this line locally so I’d love to win this, and the quilt pattern looks wonderful! I think my favorite quilting tool is my seam ripper πŸ™‚ Seem to use it quite a bit, ha!

Great giveaway, thanks! I don’t actually quilt, but it’s on my to do list. πŸ™‚

Love the fabric! my rotary cutter is pretty important to my. I am learing to serge. Love my serger too but use it for garments mostly

If i had a rotary cutter I would pick that as most treasured – cause it would be great and is on my to buy list

Fabulous giveaway!

And the tool I NEED…don’t even know what it’s called, is the gadget that will attach to my cutting templates to help protect my hand from being cut by the rotary cutter. If you know what I’m talking about, maybe you can email it to me so I’ll know! πŸ˜‰
Thanks for participating in Giveaway Day!

That is a gorgeous stack of fabrics! Thanks for the chance to win.

My favorite tool is my Purple Thang.

I just love my Accuquilt GO Cutter, makes my work so easy, now I want all the dies for it.

I really like those templates you can get that help to cut wedges for Dresden plates – they actually make them seem possible to make!

What a lovely bundle of fabrics! As for notions, I won’t be without my rotary cutter and mat. Thanks for the chance to win! πŸ™‚

I love my new Husqvarna sewing machine. Thanks for a chance, your giveaway is lovely.

Great giveaway – thanks! I think my most treasured tools are my oversized pins. I love the big, round heads on them…they’re so much easier for me to handle than tiny pins.

Love my rotary cutter – combine that with the self-healing mat and rulers, and we are in cutting heaven

I’d love to have one of those fabric cutters and bias tape makers that irons the fabric automatically. I think that I’d just make bias tape all day long if I had those.

limor477 at aol dot com

My favorite tool is that rotary cutter, I just got one last year and I use it for everything now! Love the OLFA blades too, they’re awesomely sharp.

Um… the tool I seem to use most often is my seem ripper, but that is more of a love-hate relationship. πŸ™‚
I did see a handy little seem presser on a PBS show that I wanted…

I would say my laptop is my favorite non fabric quilting tool. Without it I wouldn’t have access to everything from stores for shopping to blogs for videos and tips. Thanks so much for the chance to win your giveaway.

I am now following you with Microsoft Feeds. Can’t wait for new posts.

My most treasured quilting “tool” is my collection of quilt books. So much inspiration in them!

My most treasured quilting item is my machine, which I just got a couple weeks ago. Janome 6600P and it is beautiful!

Fabulous giveaway. I love the style of that quilt pattern. I’m not a quilter but I hope to become one … my favorite tool is my 1951 Singer Featherweight!

The one none fabric quilting tool that I want is a 28mm pinking rotory cutter. Hard to find.

My new favorite “toy” is my short-arm quilter I found on Craigslist – I’m actually finishing quilts at a respectable pace now!

I love Denyse Schmidt! I would be thrilled with the fabric. My favorite tool is the Alto’s cutting mat/guide deal I got at the Puyallup Fair last year. I wasn’t sure it would be worth the money, but I use it for everything. It’s awesome (since I can’t cut straight). kristie_keely(at)yahoo(d0t)com

I am soooooo glad I found your blog and online store!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Favorite tool- not sure- I am a newbie so therefore my seam ripper is used a lot. πŸ™‚

Hmmm, my favoirte is probably my rotary cutter…no wait , thread! I love how thread can change the look of a quilt. THanks for the opportunity!

What beautiful fabric!! I love it! The quilting item I want most is a bias tape maker! I don’t really like to make it, but that would make it much easier!

fun giveaway!! my most wanted non-fabric sewing gadget is a good iron – one that doesn’t shut off after 8 minutes and actually steams when it’s supposed to and doesn’t leak – is that too much to ask? πŸ™‚

Would love to be the lucky winner! Thanks for the giveaway! My favourite tool is my bias tape maker, I use it all the time!

My favorite most-wanted tool is a new sewing machine. Mine’s about 25 years old, and I think I’m due for a replacement. Hubby’s not so sure…

I would love a long arm or even a mid arm, I’m not picky! My most treasured sewing item is my trusty seam ripper. : )

I really want a Hera fabric marker, I keep seeing them all over the webz. πŸ™‚

RP from BBC {at} gmail {dot} com

Oh man, it is giveaways like this that make it such a fun day. Thanks for the chance to enter & also for making this so fun. I am also super glad I found your blog!

This fabric is delightful. I have no idea what tools I need — I’m just a newbie at this.

Great fabric – thanks for the chance to win.
Love my rotary cutter and mat – best invention ever!

Favorite non-fabric tool… The rotary cutter is crucial, but I’m also all about making my own seam binding right now — so I guess that handy little metal guy that keeps the fabric in line. πŸ™‚

I mostly want a very good sewing machine and then a foot or a guide to help me sew perfectly straight quarter inch lines. Whatever that is, I want it. Can you tell that I’m new to all of this? HA!

definitely my seam ripper! without that thing I would have thrown away a TON of perfectly good fabric with really bad…well..seams.

thanks for the chance!

I’m a sucker for thread. I just LOVE it. it’s almost as equally addicting as fabric stashing.

What a great giveaway! I love the fabrics. My most wanted quilting tool is a better sewing machine with a quilting table, lol.

My favorite non-quilting tool is my Basic Grey magnetic craft mat! It never leaves my workspace! Thanks for a great giveaway!
jinglesells at gmail dot com

Hmmm…favorite tool would have to be pins…simple but true because I’d be a mess quilting without them ! Thanks for the giveaway !

My rotary cutter is a must have! Thanks for the chance to win! πŸ™‚

grokgrace (at) hotmail (dot) com

Love this giveaway. Would love to get my hands on the fabrics πŸ™‚ I’m new to quilting, but have been sewing. I’m excited about all these giveaways and hopefully winning some fabrics to play with πŸ™‚

Love that pattern! Thanks for the giveaway.

I would love a sewing room. ha! Complete with table, storage and a design wall. Oh how I would love a design wall!

I am new to blogging and to sewing! I love, love your selection of fabric and would love to make something beautiful out of it! Thanks so much for putting this giveaway together!

Because of the giveaway day, I learned about this ruler that is a template for cutting triangles. Would love one of those.

Thanks for the generous giveaway!
I loves the fabric and pattern ^^
I hope I am the lucky one..

I am coveting a few non-fabric quilting tools right now. Rulers in different shapes and sizes are at the top of the list, right alongside a new cutting mat.

I’m a beginner quilter so please forgive me for not knowing what a non-fabric quilting tool is!? Is that a tool that isn’t made out of fabric? I’m so confused.

I’m just going to follow in EM’s footsteps though s/he would like a template for cutting triangles, I would like those plastic thingies that help make hexes!

My scissors. I have several pair of 4″ that are all around my sewing room and 1 small pair that never leaves the side of my sewing machine. My grandkids know I will not be kind to who ever uses my fabric scissors to cut paper. I’m a little protective that way. Thanks bc(underscore)hats(at)hotmail(dot)com

What a great giveaway! I’d love to have a mid arm machine and frame to quilt my quilts. Thanks for participating in SMS Giveaway.

Lovely fabric, would love to complete my collection of this line! I would have to say my most useful non-fabric tool is a seam ripper. I still have the celluloid one my grandma passed down to me and hate to admit how often I end up needing it πŸ™‚

I’m kinda wanting the simplicity bias tape maker, but I haven’t felt the need to spend the money yet. Maybe Christmas … thanks for the great giveaway!

Great giveaway! Love those fabrics! Congratulations ans thank you for the chance to win!

Hi and thanks for the giveaway!
I have never quilted before, but it’s on my project list, so I can’t say that I have a favorite tool… but I will be getting some ideas in the comments above!

I have to say, like many others, I can’t imagine life without my rotary cutter. I also heart rulers of various sizes :). Great giveaway! Thanks

Thank you and congratulations on your new shop! I love me a good pair of scissors!

Fantastic giveaway! I’m getting my first sewing machine next week and I’m so excited to make quilts. Thanks for the giveaway πŸ˜€

Such cute fabrics! Thanks so much for the chance to win! I’m a college student who loves to craft and I just finished my first quilt ever! Guess what, I’m hooked!!

I would really like my own rotary cutter and mat~ but am so grateful to the friend who lets me use hers. πŸ™‚ Thank you for a fun giveaway!

Great giveaway! What I would treasure above all else is a left handed rotary cutter – do those exist? I want one!!

mmm… a non quilting tool… I’d love to have one of those guns that shot nails, so I wouldn’t have to use a hammer…

I love your pretty pink and blue quilt. I think it would probably be a cutting mat… can use it for lots of different crafts. Thanks for the chance.

If by fave quilting tool you mean a person who will magically do all my binding for me, then I pick that! πŸ˜€

Those fabrics will look wonderful with that pattern! My quilting tools are pretty basic, but I would really like to have more specialty rulers.

I love DS fabrics… however I have this clover dolphin that allows me to carry my scissors and needles with out them poking through. I love it and use it all the time in my busy box that I carry to dr appt or kids events!

My favorite non-fabric quilting tool is my 3″x9″ quilting ruler. It is such a handy size & I use it way more than my other smaller rulers.

rotary cutter. definitely. πŸ™‚ and I’d love those fat quarters! They are fantastic

My favourite tool has to be the sewing machine, I used to be terrified of them but now I love it!

I have a wooden spoon I use when I make dolls in order to get the stuffing into the arms. Thank you for the chance to win this.

Ha! you are one of the people who trusts us – I click “follow” when someone says to, but I don’t actually use that function. I use the google reader… and you’re in mine now πŸ™‚ My family grows dewberries… my mother puts them up and makes great preserves every year.

πŸ™‚ Well I figure it’s better to be followed in a feed people actually use, then one they don’t!! πŸ™‚ I follow all my blogs using the regular Google Feed Reader (not Friend Connect), so I never get that “extra” entry even if I really am a follower!! I didn’t want to do that to people here. πŸ™‚ Thanks for the follow, I hope you enjoy my blog!!

Beautiful pattern and fabrics. Thanks so much for a lovely blog and a chance to win. This giveaway thing is a real treat — but I’m sure not getting much work done today!

And my most unused quilting tool is a pattern tracer. I haven’t (or haven’t yet) gotten into fancy quilting patterns (I mean quilting, not piecing – in case people are confused by the two!), doing mostly ditch or echo quilting. But my grandmother gave it to me, so I keep it!

I love my quilting gloves and I could use a new cutting mat!
Thanks for the chance to win!

Just signed up for the newsletter! Good Luck and Happy Grand Opening Month!
suzanne dot jourdan at

oh! oh! oh! pick me! pick me! pick me! please please with a cherry on top. I LOVE the new Denyse Schmidt with my whole heart. (and I love you for hosting this give-away!)

I have just subscribed to your newsletter.
Congrats on the new store! That’s awesome!

I’ve heard about your store opening somewhere. So now I am going to check out what you got…

my most treasured sewing tool is my rotary cutter. I have a hard time walking straight, much less cutting straight! πŸ™‚ thanks for the giveaway!

Ive become a follower, what a great site!
And Ive signed for the newsletter, I have a pal in Oz and will pass details about you to her too!

great fabrics! i’m brand new to quilting, so don’t yet have any treasured items. i Do however have some of my great-gramma’s embroidery and crocheted lace.

Thank you for the giveaway! My fabric quilting tool(s) are my 6×24″ ruler, rotary cutter, and self-healing mat. I’d be lost without them.

I couldn’t live without my stiletto – I use that pointy tip everyday for feeding fabric & removing paperpiecing paper. Nice pattern & fabric – thanks for the chance.

Thanks for the giveaway! I’ll say my favorite tool is my sewing experienced friends πŸ™‚ They never laugh at my dumb questions!

Definitely the rotary cutter, and my “Quilt in a Day” books are pretty handy too!

Favorite non-fabric quilting tool — seam ripper is the most used, but I think I like my iron the best

My least-favorite, but most used is Jack the Red Ripper (my seam ripper). Yes, my 6 year old and I named it and refer to it as “Jack” now. katiefewell(at)gmail(dot)com

Would love that Denise Schmidt fabric and the pattern looks like a fun one too. I’m too new at quilting to have a dream tool yet. I’m still collecting the basics. Thanks for the chance at the giveaway.

Due to technical difficulties, that would be my seam ripper. Really, we’ve become friendly over the years. I used to hate the site of him, but now he’s a necessary evil πŸ™‚

Wow – what a great giveaway! Also love my rotary cutter, mat, and ruler. But I’m especially digging my magnetic seam guide lately… xo

My most treasured tool is my seam ripper. We have a love-hate relationship. I hate when I have to use it, but I love having it when I need it. Unfortunately, that is quite often.

My most beloved notion (and I don’t own one, I use it at the sewing lab!) is a walking foot. I know I need to get one as I get more into quilting, I just haven’t taken the leap!

How fun! Finger’s crossed! Somehow my seam ripper came up missing, so I hope to replace that soon! o.o

A non-fabric quilting tool that I would love to have would be one of those cutting mat turntables. I don’t like to pick up my fabric to cut opposite sides, but sometimes it has to be done as I don’t have lots of space on my cutting surface. That’s something I need to put on my Christmas/b’day list for sure!
Thanks for the great giveaway; the pattern would really show off the great fabrics!

Thanks for a chance at your great giveaway. My favourite quilting tool is my rotary cutter. I think this was the beginning of a major quilting revolution. I use it many times every day.

Having only recently got one I could no longer live without my rotary cutter, it’s fab.

what a fabulous giveaway! i adore the DS fabric (that we can’t get here!), and the pattern looks so fun!

thanks so much for the chance to win!

whoops, i forgot my most treasured tool! that’s okay, since i joined the e-mail list, i’m posting again anyway.

i LOVE my clover seam ripper. probably an unhealthy amount. i LOVE it. i think EVERYONE should have one! i honestly used to go through 2-3 cheap seam rippers a week when i was doing a lot of denim reconstruction. in the past 10 years, i’ve had two seam rippers. the first one lasted 2 or 3 years until my idiot roommate did something to it (no idea how she managed to break it!), and i’ve had my current one for more than 7 years now. they’re indestructible!

Love these fabrics! My most wanted non-fabric item is the Accuquilt Go!. Thanks for the chance to win!

Okay, so this would be when I have to admit that I only dream of making a quilt. I have the fabric and the machine and the dream, now I need the skills and the time! I love the rotary cutter that I borrowed from my quilting friend. πŸ™‚
Thanks for the chance to win! Have a great day!
*waving hello from Australia*

I’d love to learn to quilt. This would be a great way to start. The fabric is gorgeous. Thanks for the chance to win. ….. allmap(at)y7mail(dot)com

Thanks for the chance to win. My favourite tool is my little iron to press seams and fabric.

Lovely fabrics!
Most treasured…hmmm, my seam ripper πŸ˜‰
bunchofbees at gmail dot com

DS has been a very popular giveaway item this year..guess I’m behing the times with what is HOT! I love my creative grid rulers; wouldn’t go back to any of the others. I also like my easy angle ruler to cut triangles from strips.

Thanks for such a great giveaway. I am really needing a square ruler in my life for squaring blocks!

Great giveaway! Favorite tool is my serger and my seam ripper…although not together.

ppod1too at gmail dot com

My favourite non-fabric quilting tool is a rotary cutter – it’s pretty much essential.

I’m new to quilting and find patterns are a great way to start and learn, so thank you for the chance in your giveaway.

Oooh! Love that fabric bundle!

I would have to say that my most treasured sewing notion lately has been my seam ripper. With two little kids, I tend to sew late in the evening and then, of corse, make lots of mistakes. So out comes my loyal seam ripper. Next up would be my quilting rulers. Love them!

ok, I just have to tell you that the pattern in your giveaway is the first quilt pattern I ever bought, honest! I’m a new quilter so I have to come clean and let you know I haven’t tried it yet, but I know one day I’ll be able to tackle it. Thanks joining the giveaway!

That is so funny! Yellow Brick Road was my first patterna nd my first quilt. πŸ™‚ I do have a nice little stack of patterns I haven’t used yet though, so I feel your pain. πŸ™‚

Wow what a generous prize! Thanks for the chance to win! I don’t know that I have a most treasured sewing item but my most used is probably my seam ripper, lol!
okiedokiemama at yahoo dot com

Oh don’t be fooled, I have 2.5 yards of each these still sitting here. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I think I am going to make a picnic blanket with mine, haven’t quite decided yet.

Those fabrics are delicious – thank you for the opportunity!

My favourite non-fabric quilting tool is Bella, my 1953 Singer 201 – she’s a workhorse, never quibbles about anything I feed her, and she LOOKS gorgeous, with those curved lines – aaaaaaaah they really knew how to make machines back then!

I love my rotary cutter and mat, but i’d also love to get a Go cutter so I can cut circles. Can’t do those by hand for the life of me. Thanks for the chance to win.

What a great giveaway!! I’d love to win some DS fabric. My favorite quilting item is a nice chopstick! We received some very nice ones as a wedding gift and two found their way into my sewing room – they are perfect for points! Thanks~

i’m not a super sewer, but i love to draw and illustration – so mine is my mechanical pencil (and scissors). they’re practically attached to my hand :)! thank you!

Thanks for the chance to win! I can’t decide what the best non fabric quilting tool there is — maybe a ruler? It comes in handy quite often!

Gorgeous fabric!
I’m brand new to sewing and loving it so much. I would love to build my stash b/c right now I have to buy fabric and thread and everything for each and every project.

Thanks for the generous giveaway!

My most treasured tool is my Read Pleater. Thanks for the giveaway! j-j-s AT juno DOT com

I love Atkinson designs. I have 2 of the books and have made several of their smaller projects. SUch easy and clear directions. Thanks for the chance to win.

Great giveaway, thanks for the chance to win. I’d looooove a ginormous cutting mat instead of my little dinky one!

I would love to win this! I need a new quilt pattern, and who can’t use more fabric! Thanks for the chance to win!

I would love to win this! I need a new quilt pattern. I love the fabric! Thanks for the chance to win!

I love my sewing machine. It is old and it was cheap, but man it’s a workhorse.

I love Terri Atkinson’s Yellow Brick Road pattern. This one looks like a nice one to make also. I love my quik clip when I am pinning my quilt layers together. It makes it a snap to close up the pins.

What a lovely pattern and the fabrics as well! My favorite took is probably my walking foot. Such a big help! Thanks for a chance to win!

I think my favorite sewing tool is my ruler and cutting mat. Thanks for the giveaway!

What a great giveaway!! i’m just starting to quilt, but I love my sewing machine (if that counts as a tool :-))

Wow, what a generous giveaway! Thanks so much! Not sure what my favourite tool is…very sharp scissors, maybe?

They will pull my Brother from my cold, dead fingers before I would give it up. She is my first electronic machine, I earned he money for her by sewing handbags on my mechanical Singer (and I stll love her like an auntie), and earned her keep turning out beautiful quilts and marvelous gifs for my friends and family.

I actually don’t quilt (gasp!). But I do love my rotary cutter and cutting mat for cutting my fabric for all my sewing projects. I spent a lot of years without a rotary cutter, so I really appreciate how much easier certain things are with a rotary cutter and clear ruler. So you can probably guess that I’m hoping for your fabric bundle. πŸ™‚

Lovely fabrics! I’m really enjoying finding all this great sites today. My favorite tool is my sewing machine. Thank you!

I’m so new to quilting that I don’t use many tools yet, but I’m really enjoying this giveaway tour!

I’m a follower now! My favorite tool is my elastic threader, makes putting waist bands in much easier then using a safety pin.

My favorite non-notion item is my hand made pottery bowl that I use to put thread pieces in.
